The place isn't as busy as it was before my medical leave. In fact it is almost dead but that is OK. I haven't had to do much lifting but my arm hurts every day. In fact I went to therapy yesterday and they cut out some of my exercises because of it. My arm seldom hurt before going back to work. I am going to stick it out and see what happens but I don't have the strength I once had. When I do lift something most of the weight is absorbed by my good arm but I still feel a pull on my bad shoulder. I am only biding my time at this place until something better comes along. I see dealers school in my future as soon as therapy finishes in a couple of weeks.

Also, when I was out on leave a waitress was attacked on the job. A man grabbed her from behind and threw her down. Security simply walked the man out of the place and didn't call the cops. The woman had to go to the doctor herself because her back was hurting. Security got in hot water for not taking her to the doctor when she complained of pain after the attack. She is undergoing physical therapy for her back.

I can't wait to get out of that place. It is not safe. It is only a matter of time, I feel, before someone gets killed and the killer will get away and never be found because of the antiquated video system in that casino plus the cruddy security.

I am actively looking for another job and will take the first offer I get.

My old lady and myself did go out last night. It was just for a bite to eat though. She loves buffalo wings so we checked out Buffalo Wild Wings. This was the first time either of us had been there and we liked it. She had the wings of course, spicy garlic, and I had 3 mini-cheeseburgers which were not really mini. This was chased down with a beer each and the total was just under $30. Not bad IMO.

I have physical therapy again today. Now I am working on building up my strength. I want to be as strong as possible. To be as close as I was before I was hurt.

I met with the new boss. Seems like a nice guy. He's making big changes and I like it. They are trying to get rid of the bums and hookers, pimps and junkies Thank GOD!

I saw my work schedule and it has changed a little and for the better IMO. I now have Wednesday and Thursday nights off instead of Tuesday and Wednesday.

The other guys have told me the tokes are down since the price increases. That doesn't matter to me because some nights it was so busy handing out $1 Coronas that we could not keep up and those drinking the cheap beer didn't tip anyway. I can take a little cut in $ for peace of mind at work.

So I don't go into work until Friday night at 9pm. 3 more nights of freedom. I have to shave my beard off too. I grew it because I couldn't use my right arm to shave and I have kept it even though I can shave again just because I am too lazy to do away with it. I have to shave it now plus I am looking for another job and I want to look neat and clean in case I get an interview.

I just got a call from the new boss. I go in to meet him today and see exactly what time I go back to work. I assume it will be my old schedule of Friday-Tuesday on graveyard. I am ready to go back too. I am so bored plus I need the extra money.

Nothing new is going on around here. Same old same old. I just go to therapy 3 days a week and come home and watch TV and walk the dog. I may take the old lady out tonight if she wants. Things are breaking down in that relationship so I may not be going out with her.

That's it except for the incessant heat.

I went to the doctor yesterday and got the green light to go back to work with no restrictions. I told him I have no strength in my arm so he approved 4 more weeks of physical therapy. 12 more sessions to build up my strength if I can. I tried lifting up a gallon of water the other night and could only get it up a little above my waist. That is only 8lbs. So I dropped off the progress report from the doctor at HR and I expect to be back at work next week. I can't wait either. I am bored to death.

I only wonder if I will be able to perform my job. I have to carry cases of beer and manhandle kegs and I know as of today I can't do that. Maybe when I go back to work next Thursday night I will be better able to do so. I hope anyway.

I go back to the DR Sept 11. I think he will release me at that time. Maybe after that I go and get tested by the insurance company to check my physical ability. I am not sure how the workman comp deal works out. My lawyer will fill me in on all the details I am sure.

There is not anything going on to post about other than my doctor visit. It is still too hot. 109 today and will be in the 105 range the next week. The good news is that there is probably only 3 or 4 more weeks of this oppressive heat.

Maybe tomorrow night, my last Saturday night of freedom, I will take my lady out to dinner and a movie and some drinks. I'll post a review if I do.
